Fence Installer / Laborer

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Show up on time and ready to work
• Install chain-link, ornamental steel, wood fencing, gates, and related systems
• Layout fence lines, posts, gates, and components
• Dig and prepare post holes and foundations
• Set posts and place concrete
• Install fence fabric, panels, hardware, gates, and accessories
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
• Read basic plans, layouts, measurements, and construction details
• Work efficiently as part of a crew
• Adapt to changing jobsite conditions
• Help solve problems in the field
• Maintain tools, equipment, trucks, and work areas
• Follow company and jobsite safety requirements
• Maintain professional conduct on active commercial and public works projects

Additional Skills Are a Plus

• Fence installation experience
• Welding and fabrication
• Equipment operation
• Gate installation
• Gate operators/access control
• Layout and plan reading
• Commercial construction experience
• Public works experience
